The idea of book one is to bring back a railway that hasn’t been seen for quite a while. The final episode, Celebration, could be seen as an end to the CF stories, yet it could also be used as the beginning of new adventures for the railway. Episodes 2 and 3 are in no way scary, but they are meant to have a feel that something is going on, which is concluded in episode 3. A mysterious sound from the hills, turning out to be a long lost engine is a spooky story, yet it has the heartfelt storyline to make it less scary and more of a new beginning. Episode 1 is just your usual something goes wrong story, with a slight twist. In the mountains, a breakdown is more dangerous, as there are steep slopes to think about. Celebration is basically an end to an era. Fixing Godred, repairing the lost engine and basically starting a new line for new stories to unfold from.

Book 2 - Thomas And The Sodor Castle

Book 2 could be seen as another one of those stories that basically are same old, same old, yet the stories are more there to try and expand on the history of Sodor, and show us that before a Railway Controller, Sir Topham had been an actor in plays about Camelot. Episode 1 is there to show us Thomas finding the castle along an old broken rail, disused for many years. Episode 2 explains how the castle came to be there, and why its so important that Thomas found it. Episode 3 is the story that explains some of Sir Tophams acting years. The episode is still set on Sodor in the early years, when Tophams father was in charge. So some of the older engines like Duke, S. Handel and Peter Same are still there. The only engines from the mainline are Gordon, Edward and Henry.
Episode 4 is still yet to be decided.


Book 3 - The Faithful Engines
1 - That Faithful Night (Pt 1)
2 - Stop That Train! (Pt 2)
3 - The Letter(Pt 3)
4 - The Fat Controller and His Engines (Pt 4)

Book 3 is a more serious story, yet still light-hearted enough for kids to enjoy. The basic outline is that Sir Topham Hatt has been asked to sell the railway by the Railway Board. They believe that it is time for the railway to become a diesel railway, instead of steam. In Episode 1, the engines overhear the conversation, and plan to help Hat. As they go to tell him their plan, Hat has already left. Through Episode 2-4, it is a race against time, as the engines must get Hat back, and halt the Railway Board bringing in Diesels. They story ends with Hat telling the RB all about the adventures they had, and that a young man, known As Rev. W Awdry has been writing up the stories as books, bringing in more passengers and visitors then ever. (Note: This story is a tribute to the Rev and his Son, and all the work they accomplished.)


Book 4 - A Narrow Tale

3 - A Night Story
4 - Christmas Night

Book four once again goes back to look at the narrow gauge engines, with the basic light-heartedness that people of all ages can enjoy. Originally, the book was to be called A Tale Of Two Rails, basing itself around both the normal gauge and Narrow Gauge railways. I decided to change it as we had focused on the big railway twice now, with NG not having much of a say. Episode 1 is a tale told by Duke about an engine that once got lost in the snow but found his way back with the help of an old engine he rescued. Episode 2 is once again back to the engines duties. Duncan is being impatient, so instead of waiting for the guard to get back, he takes of down the mountains. He slips and gets tangled in a fence. The idea is to teach people not to be inpatient. Episode 3 is a tale by Rusty about a night where he had to deliver coal all around the narrow line, as the sheds were blocked by ice and snow. Episode 4 is of course a story based around Christmas day and giving kids the best day they can.
